Wales:North to South (2011)
On the off chance that I am still unemployed in early November I have come up with another bike tour to do. This one is a lot closer to home and considerably shorter than my previous cycling efforts, but should be fun. The idea is to catch a train to the most northern point in mainland Wales then cycle the length of Wales to the most southern point. At the moment I'm 50/50 as to whether I should be brave and camp or plan ahead and stay in some climbing huts along the way. Daily mileage I'm aiming for is still very much up for grabs, definitely no less than 30 miles per day but who knows how high it will go!
Time to find out if I can handle a week straight of being soaking wet, going to be a wet one!

Another option that I have considered, which is altogether a bit more complicated to fit in to a week is the following. Starting at the most northern point of Mainland Qales I then cycle south, taking the time to climb Snowdon (the highest point in Wales), hit the most central point of Wales, heading on to bag the most western and eastern points before finishing up with the most southern. This does sound a lot more fun to me but all depends on time! Why did I miss out the lowest altitude? according to the Wikipedia article I was reading (which in no way could ever be wrong!) there are no inland points that are lower than sea level, so anywhere on the coast will do just fine for bagging the lowest point, which is a bit of a result if you ask me.
